
At The Bread quarter, we aspire to continually improve our ingredients and move towards organinc or house milled grains by the end of 2026. Good ingredients are key to creating delicious and healthy breads.
Bread has baked in this North Vancouver bakery for over 40 years. Originally founded by a family with a deep love for traditional rye bread, this artisan bakery became known for its hearty loaves, handmade quality, and loyal community following.
It was passed down through two generations of the original family, then carefully transitioned through the hands of local owners who each honored its roots while adding their own touch.
We’re proud to be the fourth owners of this beloved nostalgic shop. As a North Vancouver family with a passion for real food, local connection, and keeping traditions alive, we’re committed to preserving the North Van bakery’s legacy while slowly introducing fresh ideas, artisanal techniques, and the kinds of products we’d want on our own tables.
At the Bread Quarter, it’s still all about honest ingredients, warm sourdough bread, and that feeling of walking into your neighborhood bakery where you’re remembered and where you feel a true conncetion to your community.

This little sore has been in the baking business for over 40 years, and we have brought our passion for baking as the new onwers. Our recipes have been passed down through those whove been here before us, and we continue to innovate and create new flavors and designs.

From mixing the ingredients to decorating the finished product, every step of our baking process is done by hand. We take the time to ensure that every item that leaves our bakery is somethig we are proud and excited about.
